Photos, frames and production blog

Photos and stills (and production blog too - what the hell, eh?)

Aug 13: Added an "in progress" shot of the cockpit "set" piece, and a photo of the reflection in the pilot's visor...and the final product.

Aug 7: After a much delayed shooting schedule, we're wrapped. Here's a still and BTH photo (and a prop image)... More to come!

June 18: LOTS has been happening - have been in pre-prod from the day the fest was announced - glad it got extended to August or I'd be hosed.

  • Script has been locked for a while now. Working on storyboards...
  • Shooting schedule complete.
  • Prop building and set piece construction coming along nicely.
  • Locations confirmed. Fingers crossed for good weather!
  • Cast has been confirmed. Talented people, and very generous with their time!
  • more updates coming in a couple days...photos too!

It's funny, no matter how 'extended' a fest is...everyone is always down to the wire. i think we all work better under pressure!
Looking good, love the poster & can't wait to start watching all these films.

....it's been too long.....

Yup - with Summer comes vacations, and it's been a bear working around the cast & crew's (and my own) limited free time. Plus, after so long in pre-production and actual shooting, I get awfully burned out before I get the post finished. One of the drawbacks of being mostly solo for post I suppose. I'm sure everyone is in the same boat though, and likely better at managing their time than I as well.

This was a far more ambitious production than I had originally realized, but what a great experience (so far).

Just added a few more BTS shots - cockpit "set" under construction and the final product. Now if I can get the edits, etc done in time...!

Is that an IPS in your cockpit or are you just happy to see me?

Looks great...cant wait for all these to be ready for viewing!

Oh man - I just re-read the rules. I have an extra day - how did I miss that???!!! I can sleep ( a little ) tonight... YEEEEEEESSS!!!

Thanks Chris! It was fun to build, but way too much work for the few seconds it's in the film. And now what the heck do I do with it??

Okay, work and bad planning got in the way. I'm not going to make the final edit before the cut-off. So, it's either a non-compete entry (who am I kidding, I'm not winning anything! :-)

I have a much longer edit of the film in a rough state, but it's watchable. If I can enter as a non-compete entry I will, otherwise I'll post a link and beg for feedback.

I had a bag of fun making this and I can't wait to get screening everyone's entries!

Thanks Chris. I'll have a link posted here (and elsewhere) to the finished film on YouTube sometime in early Sept. I won't bother with the 6 minute edit, and just go with the full 15 minute version.
