Driving with DSLR on window mount

Anyone here ever drive while having their DSLR mounted on a car window mount, like the Manfrotto 243 or something similar?

I'd like to mount my T2i on one of these and take some scenic driving shots, but I don't know if it's stable enough.

I guess another option would be going with a suction mount, or just putting it on a tripod (in the car) and finding a way to keep the tripod from tipping or shaking during starts and stops.

They're pretty sturdy ( the Manfrotto mounts), so I suppose it comes down to your personal risk tolerance. I don't know I'd trust that amount of weight to a suction mount, but that's just me. I have a Go-Pro HD and suction mount that I've used on my Harley without any issues, but it's a whole bunch smaller and lighter camera.
Securing a tripod in a car is not difficult to do, but it can be a bit awkward. Once you have it secured, you almost need a camera operator because you'll be effectively shooting blind for the most part.
Until I grabbed a GoPro, I'd never gotten to the point where I was actually willing to risk my gear by strapping it to the car. With the GoPro however, I leave a couple of mounts permanently attached to my bike, and have several on the truck that I can clip into and shoot without missing a beat. For that kind of stuff, those little POV cameras are tough to beat.

Don't think I'd trust something like that with only one point securing it. I'd rig it up properly with scaf, suction cups and a third failsafe chaining the camera to something else. Always better safe than sorry, can't guarantee that it won't get taken out completely by another vehicle though...
