I'm dreaming of Panasonic introducing an HMC45 and an HMC85 this coming spring at NAB, with two features added to what's offered in the 40 and 80: 1080p60 recording @ 35Mbps (call it a "pro" bitrate - as opposed to the 28Mbps "consumer" bitrate with the TM700), and the ability to record onto SDXC in addition to SDHC. It's a very nice dream.

Three dreams for me:

Better flip out and VF, I have a tough time getting critical focus at times.
Focus peaking stays on instead of default off so you don't have to dedicate a user button to it and press it everytime you start the cam
Instead of zoom control on the flip out (who is going to use that?) switch that to audio trim, so you don't have to get into the menus for a quick take with the onboard mic.

I'll second both Robert's and Grant's wishes, and add a wider, faster lens (like the TM700), much slower shutter speeds for night timelapse, user defined timelapse intervals, infrared sensor on the rear of the camera, and continuous clip numbering.

After all, it is almost Christmas...
