Well I am not into the Whole anime thing, but I am intrested in watching this. Looks good and keep us posted.

Rock and Roll -- I love new media.

What about us Mac Users? If you use microsofts DRM stuff we are screwed, no?

I am hoping to get the series on itunes at some point (as I am am IPOD carrying man myself). Everything in this field is so new that decisions as to exact DRM change daily. I'm sure at some point it will be made available.

I am very interested in how this turns out, looks really good to me, and something brave and different that appears to work very well. nice job

wow cool stuff - thats gonna take a lot of pencils to finish
You have no idea.....

Thanks for the kind words guys - I'm doing my best to make something people will hopefully enjoy.

I echo the comments regarding better lighting. The footage did not live up to the overall concept. I liked the animation aspect of it.

How did you film on the subway? I am assuming run and gun. Did you run into any trouble?

.....On the grounds that it may incriminate me.....No trouble

:)

As for everything else - my priorities (and this is just me) have always been:

I shoot what I can with what I have. I'd always much rather have 50 ok lit shots that tell my story in a cinematic fashion than one ultra well lit one that doesn't allow me to cut very much. I really admire anyone who takes the time to make something pretty and dramatic - but for me in this project - I prefer to not have to make my actors wait excessive amounts of time between shots, locations to become jepordized (for obvious reasons) and less ability to be mobile with the camera (for moving shots which I have hundreds if not thousands).

If I get the kind of budget that lets me have both - AWESOME!

Until then (Nothing against those with the care and skillset to enhance things with their equipment when they can). I just do my thing and have a blast doing it.

-Jes :)

Yeah, I understand what you are saying and agree 100%. Hope I didn't come across overly critical. I can see this being a great tool for telling a creative story. I hope for you that this gets seen by the right people and they give you a big enough budget to take it further (like the guy who did Sky Captain).

As for the subway stuff, I know how you feel. Always a bit nerve-racking shooting there without the right permits. Especially in today's enviroment.

That's a really cool concept!
I sincerely commend you on making this... It looks like a lot of work...
I am still impressed by the 80's A-ha video take on me...
ANYWAYS...
I REALLY liked your audio. It shows that you put a lot of attention to it. VERY well done...
ACTUALLY everything looked very cool...
HOWEVER "something" looked out of place, and I couldn't put my finger on it...
I don't think it's the lighting... I think it's the ultra-clear HD quality... It just looks too clean... FOR MY TASTES, I would add grain or make it look less "clear"... It's not that it looks like video, but it just doesn't seem filmic...
I noticed the same thing watching Apocalypto, it looked extremely clear, I felt like they could've dirtied the footage, to make it look more primitive, rather than high-tech HD...

THAT is just my opinion... I can see, that graining your footage might affect your ipod output...

THE concepts are really interesting so keep up the good work, and PLEASE keep us updated!
Thanks for sharing!
