Drawings, sketches, etc.

Ha, that would be cool. I'll have to try it some time. The drawing was done simply on computer paper. I look at a photograph and draw the outlines in pencil (including outlining the shadowing), and then I simply freehand the entire drawing with ink. It adds to the excitement since mistakes can't be undone.

I recently decided to start learning some fundamentals of character drawing.
(Yeah, a bit late to the party I know...)
Portraits at the moment. Also been crashing on numerous anatomy pdfs as well as drawing pdfs.
I've read that drawing is learnable. The creative part comes later ofcourse, so that's cool.
I've found the mathematical proportions of the face primarily, and the body though, especially interesting.

Anyways, I found a great link, I think, for some youtube instruction drawing portraits.
Seems pretty good to me although I haven't watched it all. Thought I'd pass it on.

I'm not ready to post any sketches yet though. Only been at it for 2 weeks on and off but I've surprised myself. Also, the idea of being able to create something with a pencil is pretty cool. At least if I go completely broke I can always find a pencil and maybe make a few bucks doing a couple portraits on the fly, haha.
Pretty inexpensive and rewarding hobby I'd say.

I'm even more interested now to see more sketches if anyone has more to post.

Have hundreds more, but these are what I could find scanned on my computer...

Sketching markers. I'd like to try my hand at using a ballpoint and see what I can do with that. I'd also like to get back into pencil. As much as I enjoy pens and markers, pencil is far more versatile with shading.

And thanks!
