OTHER: Drawing With Chalk Feature Film Trailer

Really glad to hear that you will be at the Phoenix Film Fest, I plan to be at the festival and I look forward to seeing it.

Nice, glad to hear it, can't wait to see it some time.

If you don't mind, check out the trailer for my new feature when you get an opportunity www.battle-movie.com

Martay,

I liked the trailer. Some shots were very epic and the cutting with the music worked well. I definitely see an audience for this! Keep me posted.

YaBoyTopher,

Make sure you introduce yourself at the festival! Glad you'll be there :)

I'm very excited to be a part of this festival (we've had our eye on it since last fall). I've heard amazing things about this festival so it means a lot to me. Plus, they treat filmmakers like GOLD! Top service all the way.

Once again, DWC is screening Saturday at 2:00 at the Chicago International Movie & Music Festival. Hope to see some DVX members there; and if you are there, introduce yourself :)

Just got word that we were accepted into the Newport Beach Film Festival. Hope any of you near LA can get a chance to see it. 2010 has been a good year so far.

Nice article. Can't wait til it gets near me so I can see it.

Hi Martin,

I hope we get a chance to play in the south (so far we haven't gotten any love from any of the southern film festivals but I haven't given up on them yet...).

I certainly will be at Vancouver so definitely say hi!

Todd

Awesome. I just printed out the tickets - my wife and I will be there Saturday. If you land a big distrubution deal, be sure not to blow ALL the advance on the roulette tables there. Good luck,

Excellent Mark!

Looking forward to meeting you and your wife. And looking at the current distribution deals offered to low-budget indies it would be VERY easy to blow my advance (at the quarter slots). :)

I had a chance to see this on Saturday at the Canadian International Film Festival. If this is coming by your area, be sure to go check it out! It absolutely lives up to the trailer, and was a real treat. Todd, Chris - you guys did a great job putting this together, thanks for bringing it up to Canada.

Both my wife and I loved it. To me it fits nicely alongside films like "Facing the Giants" and "The Ultimate Gift," albeit with less of a focus on faith than those two.

Sadly, there were only about 30 people at the screening. Everyone seemed to really like it though. The good thing about so few people was I had more time to pester Todd and Chris - thanks for putting up with me:) But I really wish that more people had come out. None of my friends could come so now I'll have to buy the DVD and force them to watch it. Good luck on the rest of the circuit.

30 isn't terrible for a festival screening...I'd have gushed if my latest short that screened recently at the Macon Film Festival had gotten that many folks into the shorts screening that it was in.

In fact, the Ileanna Douglas film that took most of my audience on opening night of the festival didn't have more than 60 folks in it and SHE was on of them!

It's good to hear more people are seeing it and enjoying it.

Congratulations to the DWC team.

Mark,

Very special thanks to you and your wife for attending and it was a pleasure to speak with you about the film. Yeah, the screening was small, but the crowd was good. We also took home the Special Jury Award for best feature film.

Thanks M :)

The Canada International Film Festival didn't really advertise the festival much so our expectations were minimal anyway. I believe the screenings in Phoenix should have much better attendance (from what I've heard).

It's funny when it comes to festivals... we've had an opening night (our premiere) with only 70 people (in a 600 seat theater) and then we've had sold out screenings with additional showings added. You never can tell.
