Drama-Fest Voting Instructions

Well, I voted for the first time during a fest (mainly because we have a 3Gb cap per month, and it has just become affordable to purchase more than 3Gb per month so I can download all the entries).

And I must say now that I own a HVX200e I can't wait till theyannounce the next fest, cause I'm gonna enter for sure, and it might not be a winning movie, but I'm sure I will learn A LOT about movie making! I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEXT FEST !!!!

BTW when is the next fest going to be announced?

Cheers,
Derrick

Next fest announced already. Spyfest will be the next fest. It was announced in the "Next Fest Possibilities..." poll thread that was recently closed.

Barry, when will the rules be announced? If there is any special instructions like the dramafest (lead named either Eric or Erica) as a screenwriter, I sort of need to know as quickly as possible.

Second that. I think Barry_S is the man to ask, though. Or, was the Charli asking that Barry?

Correct, Barry_S is the fest mod and the one who all fest questions get answered by and is the final answer on all things Fest-related.

I have to say I was disappointed when I saw the next fest "genre" announced. Not because I didn't like the choice (quite the contrary actually).

But I knew that the drama fest would then be overrun with demands for details about a contest that has not officially been named yet. Sure, it would be nice to get an early jump on it, but remember these fests are run by Barry_S (and Jarred when he can). And these fests are not how Barry or Jarred make their living.

I don't want to stifle creativity and initiative, but let's give the guys a chance to get one fest wrapped up before we start hounding them about the next.

Just my $0.01 9/10 (I spent the other $0.00 1/10 getting the system up for this last fest  )

Peace,
Larry

Yeah, I hear you Larry, and you are probably right.

But on the other hand, now that I at last own a HVX, I have an opportunity to enter a fest, its VERY hard to contain my exitement and start working on a movie I can hopefully submit!

But YES, a little patience wouldn't hurt, it's JUST SO HARD !!!!

You GO Derrick.
That's the kind of excitement that's contagious and it's the fuel that makes these fests run.
I'll be watching yours first in Spyfest - no turning back, no excuses from you mister, you are entering. I will be on the 1st row opening night.
From your location seems like you will have access to some pretty cool locations too.

I hope you guys don't mis-understand, I am all for the excitement and fervor that grows around these festivals. But, having been on the "working" side of a fest, this time around, I can tell you that it takes a lot out of you.

Sorry if I stifled, or ruffled, anyone...didn't mean to. Just wanted to temper the excitement a little...only so Barry can get the votes tallied before being overrun with SpyFest questions :)

Storyboard away...let's see those entries (anyone doing a Spy vs. Spy rip-off?)

Peace,
Larry

hehe Larry... I know the headache and work these fests take, was REALLY behind the scenes for horrorfest, wow was that a fiasco!

No, no, Mr. JDS. You mis-understand. I was apolgozing for not hyping this dude into making his first movie

. . .

please, Hype to your hearts content!
