Hey All,
Hope this makes sense...
Where I work, my boss shoots a lot of standard-def footage with an HPX-170. We have an FS-100 firestore that he wants to be able to record the clips to. Then, after he's done shooting, he wants to be able to easily drag and drop quicktime clips from the firestore to his harddrive and then edit them directly in Final Cut Pro (with out having to "organize P2 clips" and then use log and transfer.)
I realize the log and transfer method is probably preferable, but he feels this takes too long. Plus, he's so used to using this drag and drop method with our old DVX-100b, that he wants to replicate the workflow. You know, the whole teaching an old dog new tricks thing ;-)
Is this possible to do? I'm pretty sure it is (the firmware on the FS-100 is 4.0). If so, how do I go about setting the firestore to do this? I've tried simply setting the record mode to "Quicktime," not p2, but this doesn't do the trick as the resulting quicktime clip won't open.
Thanks in advance.
