Im out here in LA for this year's 48 Hour Challenge series and looking for
a DP and Sound crew for the weekend of June 22nd through the 24th.
This is a pretty exciting project and we've got the foundations of a fantastic
team with a TON of feature VFX experience. I'm hoping to leverage this
and really shine.
Once again, I'm climbing into the hotseat with 2 48's under my
belt as Writer/Director - Miami 2006 (Best Use of Character) and last fall's
National 48. This is #1 of three 48's I'm doing this year.
I'm far from home on this one and really need to collaborate with a crack
shooter and sound guy who can work with a team of industry pros that are
'trying on new hats' for the weekend.
We fully embrace the concept of the 48 and seek to craft a film where the
Genre/Character/Prop/Dialog are central, not shoehorned elements
into something pre-produced. Its stylish, guerilla film in its purest form!
Kit is a DVX setup and a small sound package, but if you've got gear
you trust, its more than welcome. Weekend project budget is set at
$500, so we're covering expendables and that all so important food
Drop me a note if you're ready for a sleepless weekend!
We'll be working from the westside/Santa Monica area. You're invited to
help for the whole weekend, but shooting will be dawn to dark (or maybe
dawn again.. its a 48 after all, and you never know!) on the 23rd of June.
