I'm looking for a DP to shoot two interviews in London this month. I'm looking for someone who can best match my set-up in NYC so here's how we're shooting the interviews:
We'll have an HVX200, with Letus adapter, shooting a typical, talking-head, interview shot with a 80mm lens. This camera is also being used to record the subject's wireless lav. For our wide, safety shot we're going to use a Panasonic GH1, with a 50mm lens, and dolly it side-to-side on a Kessler Pocket Dolly.
We'll have the subject about 10 feet in front of the background which is a mahogany, library type room with fireplace. Think old money. We'll do a typical three-point lighting schematic with some soft orange highlights on the background.
We'll be shooting 1080p and I'm not sure what frame-rate yet. There will be two interviews to shoot over one day.
I realize there won't be the perfect match; however, I'd like to find someone who can come close. I don't have a fixed budget yet but I would like to pay $1,200 for a full day and $800 for half. Please, don't PM me. E-mail me at jonathan at aviewofyou dot tv
