First i put the lights up for sale, so maniac paypal right away. I had a change of heart and decided to keep one light and sell two.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the amount of money has to do with it killfilm. If you made a deal with the guy to sell him three lights, you should honour it. That's the fair thing to do. And that's it. End of sentence....you can't have a change of heart after the deal is made and the other party has paid up, and if you do have a change of heart, you have to ask the other party to release you from the agreement. And if they disagree, you honour the deal you have made. That's the only way to deal with your own change of heart. It's a material object, not a kidney.

Obviously, it would be unfair to send two lights instead of three. So i though ok, i refund the money to the maniac and then re-up the two lights for sale. pretty honest eh

Comparing yourself to scammers doesn't make you credible or restore your integrity. You feel badly because you reneged on a deal, and that is dishonourable.

Self defense? As a judge of the two stories, and the independant testimony of a third party to your previous history, you have a very poor defense. You also appear to have no honour, and probably no self-respect, which you recognize, but instead of working on fixing it within yourself, choose to blame others, which is why you treat others poorly.
