I need to convert some HD video to normal video.
What would be a program that would do this and how might this be done??

Any NLE that you can edit your HD footage with will be able to down convert it to SD or any other size for that matter.

Do you need to downconvert to output to DVD? If so forget the conversion - takes forever just output to DVD in mpeg and it will down convert in the process much faster.

What I've noticed is that the footage is compressed vertically... ie Everything now is squezzed. What was suppose to be 16x9 is now standard but everyone looks very thin.
