Please check out our new scene, Downpour. It's an isolated scene that could attach to a bigger short film. Please let us know what you think!

Great images!
I see you´re a gaffer who has teamed up with a DP - what a great combination!
Where´s the song from btw?

The song is from Muse, but forgot the name. Love the song and a big fan of the band. Saw them in concert twice. Whoot!

Very beautiful shot. Very beautiful all around, the lighting, the camera movements, the use of shots, etc...

Great use of the song with the editing. Very good job!

But the acting was the complete opposite. Seems very amateurish. They were too over the top. Need to either work with the actors more to pull back their emotions, or get better actors, or probably both. I always like to think you can always at least get a decent performance out of almost anyone if you work with them enough. A trained actor is easier of course.

Thanks for the feedback. We need to hear this stuff in order to get better. The song is "Ruled by Secrecy" from Muse.
Our problem is finding good actors who are willing to spend a whole night shooting with just a few lines. These are more cinematography exercises than short films, so it's been difficult to find good *willing* actors. We've been looking for attractive people, cause we know that'll obviously look better.

No one commented on the sound, but we know that's not up to par either. We're doing ADR for it Monday (and even that is difficult when your actors had only 2 lines)

Woderwall certainly your shots look quality. Get some better actors - acting isnt matching the quality of your work.

I am a muse fan also. Id be careful using (C) material in shots you intend people to see as a means of judging the quality of your work.
