I've read many threads about the resolution and quality loss associated with downconverting to SD or MiniDV Tape. Although many people mention out of camera downconversion may produce better results then in-camera, I have not seen anyone speak from experience on this issue. Has anyone gone thru the downconversion process both ways and if so what did the side by side comparisons look like??
Secondly most people reference FCP when mentioning NLE downconversion but has anyone used Avid Xpress Pro HD and is it necessary to render the final clips like FCP?? Thanks
