Hello all.
I'm here to tell you about my first feature film, Down the Chain. This is my first time posting in these forums, but I've been lurking for some time now. Before I get to it, I want to thank anyone who has ever posted something helpful here, because people (like me) do in fact like reading about the important stuff while preparing to shoot.
DTC is an independent, micro budget drama/sci-fi film currently in post-production. I should have thought to post here during pre-production, but my mind was buzzing with so many other things that it unfortunately slipped through the cracks.
We shot on the Canon 7D during the last two weeks of September. Up until October 29th I had been scrambling to get a rough cut out the door to Slamdance (which I did) and am now currently in the process of fine-tuning the countless mistakes I am finding on a daily basis.
I would put the video cut at a solid 99% completion, sound mix at about 75%, and color at a distant 40%. It's coming along though, and with a little ADR and a lot of tweaking it will be ready in no time.
I started a blog the other day, here, where I'll be retrospectively posting tidbits about the film and posting cryptic nonsense for those who are into that sort of thing.
If anyone has any questions about the shoot or what it was like working with the 7D, I would be happy to try and answer them.
In closing, here is a temp poster I worked up the other day:
It still needs some basic info, but that's the general idea. Also, the small teaser trailer should be ready in a few days. Thanks for reading!
TEASER UPDATE:
Synopsis: A man gets a chance to fix his past when he is blackmailed into stealing designs for a strange new machine.
IMDB link.
