Here is a making of/blooper reel of our Doritos Commercial.
Making of/Blooper Reel
For those who haven't seen it, here is the original commercial.
Battlestations!
All the footage is ungraded.
The behind the scenes footage was shot on an HV20 in 24P with the cine-mode setting. The cine-mode is extremely flat, in fact much flatter than you can make the GH1. Great for color correction, but it doesn't help here.
You can see a few shots of the DVTEC that we used. Again, this thing is fantastic and there are like a million ways to use it. Even just using it hand-held (not in shoulder mode or with the shock arm and belt), the thing provides a lot of stability. I like the "large camera" hand held look that you get on the GH1 with it, and it really doesn't weigh hardly anything.
I think there are also a few shots of the 20mm + wide angle + FaderND. I still think this worked incredibly well and even with everything combined it's still fairly small. I think we're probably going to be using this set-up a lot.
