Doritos Spec Commercial shot on HMC150

Not bad at all. Could do some more coloring I suppose but it's pretty decent. Excellent try at this but unfortunately I don't think you will win. It just doesn't look professional enough. What stood out in my mind after I watched it was COFFEE not so much Doritos. I mean the Doritos bag was on screen for like a split second and then the next time you see it, it's crumbled up in the guy's mouth. I honestly watched it three times and still can't figure out what he says at the end. It's just like.. Mrah mrahhh mrrrrr coffee.

Appreciate the feedback. Not really in it to win, just an excuse to work on some concepts and shoot something for fun... Shot in about 4 hours with consumer grade lighting and 2 person crew both serving as talent as well, so all in all I think it was a good exercise.

Not bad for a quick turn around. The audio could use some work. Sounds like the built-in mics?
I think you're featuring coffee more than doritos though, so it might make people go grab a cup instead of the chips, no?

Totally agree with the audio needing more work - Mixture of mics - mostly RODE NTG-2 - always camera mounted though, so reverb in that right angle shot and bad signal-to-noise due to distance from subject.

Minimal voiceover work with Octava MK-319 large diaphram condenser .. but done super fast.. could have done a lot more audio but ran out of steam for this.

As far as the concept - I'm not sure.. Mostly just going for the laughs..

This really boils down to "Coffee = Problem, Doritos = Solution" but hopefully with a laugh or two along the way.

Specifically, I was interested in what I could do with Compact Fluorescent bulbs as light source, how the HMC150 would perform (I just got it last friday), and getting a concept from paper to the web...
