DOP, Gaffer, Camera Operator - AVAILABLE (Southern Ontario)

DDirector

Veteran
My name is Michael Frymus and I am seeking job opportunities working freelance or within a company as a Director of Photography, Gaffer, or Camera Operator.

I have studied at Niagara College for three-years as a film production student focusing on cinematography in the film industry. I have focused my career in the camera and lighting department, and I would like to pursue working in one of these departments to further expand my knowledge by working on other productions. I have over four (4) years experience working professionally as a Director of Photography, Gaffer, and Camera Operator on a wide variety of film productions ranging from Music Videos, Commercials, Short Films, Feature Films, Documentaries, and TV Shows. I recently joined and work part of IATSE local 873 as an Electric Permittee obtaining industry professional experience on set. This helps me learn more about lighting and camera, which will be a great asset for your production(s).

I am located in Southern Ontario (Close to Toronto, Ont), but I am available for hire worldwide.

Further information can be seen on my website listed below along with my Demo Reel. I can be reached anytime on my cell phone or through my email address (Both listed below). I have also enclosed my resume and I look forward to hearing from you and working on your production(s), Thank you.

This is fantastic, minus some of the shaky shot at precisely 1:03. I am 4 hours from Oakville, Ontario. I can't afford it this year, but, if my upcoming short can sell to the right people, I am hoping into turning it into a crime-drama series, which is exactly what your style looks like. If I can get a stable budget, I am adding you to my roster for future use.

I hope the best for you, really. I know everyone always says it, but it's true, I do.

Thanks,
Tim

Why, Thank you. :)
As my DOP reel, not all the shots in here are me necessary me camera operating. As a dop, I work as the head in charge of the camera and lighting departments. Sometimes I operate too, sometimes I don't. On bigger productions, I tend not to, as real DOPs.
This way I can keep focus on the shot in video village (or some external monitor) and take notes with the director on the shot, and improve.

*the shot at 1:03 was shot on a wheelchair dolly as we weren't able to setup the PeeWee dolly in that shot. The ground was also a bit rough there.
