So has "Bailey Sims" essentially been scamming people under the identity of the innocent real person Bailey Payne?

you and others run a great website.

dvxuser has been an invaluable asset to the worldwide media creation community.

but what security gates were in place when the dvx100 came out, simply no longer apply.

i strongly suggest a review of posting rules to the classified.

60 days without a specific number of posts, is just a waiting game till scam time.

okay, i'll toss out a number - 50 posts and THEN you can post to the classified.

please take these threads for what they are, folks who want dvxuser to remain vibrant.

without some form of better protection from scammers, i fear folks will find other forums with better peer 2 peer protections.

I just got scammed by the same person! I posted here saying I was looking to buy a C100. He e-mailed me diretly saying he could have one to me shipped for 3150. We agreed to a $200 deposit (he asked me to send as personal) my mistake; but I did pay through credit-card; I have all e-mail records. Once I found out others have been scammed under that name I e-mailed him and he said if I ever wanted to see the $200 I should remove my post from Red user (other people scammed by him there).

I'm going to be opening an FBI, case file as well as paypal. Pathetic he's still able to use their service!!

Paypal was nice enough to give me a refund, great customer service; they said I've been with them for a long time and they appreciate my business but they usually don't cover deposits or personal payments.
