SHORT: Donovan - First Short Film - Feedback/Critique Requested

Hi folks,

I just made my first short film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EclPg1gz3P8

I've been making corporate/educational videos for a while off and on (mostly interviews and instructional stuff) but this was my first attempt at narrative. Suffice it so say it was an overwhelming experience. It was a zero budget project that I cowrote with two friends and shot/edited. We had a ton of fun making it but the quality isn't in the ballpark of where I'd like it to be - especially when compared to some of the stiff competition that this contest provided. Having said that, we kind of knew that going in and wanted to make something just because we knew that was the best way to get better at it.

So I'd love to get some feedback from you guys (macro and micro) about what I can work on and do in order to do a better job on our next project. In terms of gear, I have my GH3/zoom lens, a tripod, and access to some tungsten lights.

Thanks for any feedback you may be able to provide and thanks for watching!
