Dolly Track?

I got a hold of a simple dolly which attaches to the base of my tripod, so it's a tripod with wheels actually. Now does anyone have any ideas on how to get or make a nice track for the dolly so I would be sliding everywhere?

I've always throught this made sense, and always wondered why people never reversed engineered the tracking from a normal home-made, pvc track based dolly, and just attached the trucks/wheels from that sort of system, to the tripod dolly.... i've never done it myself, because I don't own one, but I've been considering it.
