Does use of 7Q+ with a7s fix blue LED clipping issue?

Hey Guys,

In a pinch to make a quick decision for an upcoming project on either buying a different camera as a b-cam to my FS700 7Q combo(original model with no 4K HDMI) or invest in another new odyssey unit and flex out my a7s. I have read many people say that Sony sensors in general have this issue but the fs700 with 7Q has no sign of this problem whatsoever when filming prores. A recent concert I filmed with both, the FS700 with 7Q footage looked flawless...the a7s had color clipping issues on Blue LED primarily but still showed posterization affects on some green and purple lights as well. Filmed in S-log.

Should I abandon ship on the a7s or will the 7Q+ fix this issue? Thanks

The external recorder alone won't fix the issue. White balance towards daylight is the closest thing to a fix for the a7s that I've found.

Thanks, I have read that but the issue still seems to have been pretty strong as my White Balance was balanced towards daylight at the shoot I'm referencing. I guess I was just hoping that somehow the 7Q+ would fix the issue like the regular 7Q fixed the purple fringing in extreme highlights on my FS700.

Daylight balance + autumn leaves so far has given the best result. But yea, less then ideal...
