Does this look fishy?

I don't know about the heavier end but I have a lighter one for use with an HVX. It's great bang for the buck. I think I paid $170 and it is just as good or better than a 503 head and it comes with sticks, case, and a ball leveler head.

Why spend that kinda money on that? Just pay a little more and get a sachtler fsb-4 system, and KNOW you're getting amazing bang for your buck, and plus you'll get tons of resale when you want to sell the tripod.

I own one Sachtler fsb-4 system now, and there's no doubt that it's great. But compare the load capacities of the two, and the aforementioned product blows sachtler out of the water if you're looking at bang for your buck (that is, if the specifications and correct and the build construction is solid). I recently bought a slider for my HMC 150 and the Sactler sticks I have are not beefy enough to handle all of that extra weight. These legs, however, look as if they would, and I'd get another nice fluid head to boot.

Ive never heard of them. Hopefully someone on the board has though - would be good to know the quality here.

That store has 5000 + feedback at 99.3 % positive. Not bad.

I did see their c-stand and grip head prices, Id grab a few if I was local.

Good point. I'll let you guys know what I think when it arrives. Here's hoping I don't have to pay to ship it right back to them.

To answer your question about the seller, I purchased the EI7500 and EI7501 baby tripods from them and would buy items from them again. I have not tried the full size tripod that you are looking at. Send them an email about your concerns, they were very good about replying via eBay.
