However, what do you think about the interlace-artifacts point raised by Barry above, e.g. "during a horizontal pan across black/white objects (like a picket fence, for example) one can see comb artifacts all over the footage on the edges, while displaying the same on the computer screen (a progressive display) one can't see any comb/interlace artifacts at all."
Aejez, I am eager to elaborate on yr question, but are you talking about native progressive footage (from a progressive camcorder or film) or an interlaced footage, or de-interlaced in post. Do you see the combing on LCD TV ?. These questions are needed because there are many artifact possible. What often happens is that LCD tv's are not set for 'film mode" (cadance detection) with results in combing effects (like Bary explained on the fields belonging to different frames)
Yes Aezaz, "normal interlaced TV's" show combing and judder on motion content in all progressive footage modes (pulled down 24p,25p/30p) if the footage has not been reinterlaced before. This thread was on LCD and whether or not it displays progressive images. So what you get is "normal". This doesn't mean that LCD monitors/tv's (always progressive) do not show de-interlacer artifacts but this is fully dependant on the (included) de-interlacer and the film mode detector's performances

Hi guys! Please help me with my problem!!! I suppose what you were talking about relates to my problem too! When i am exporting video from Premier on my PC to DVX (VCR mode) i can't see picture on LCD screen! I have everything working: i see what is being exported on premier on my PC, i also see that "REC" appears on the LCD screen of my camera, timecode is running, but in the end of exporting Premier says that RECODING IS SUCCESFULL, but in fact nothing was recorded on the tape but only blank picture.
I don't know what i am doing wrong! It seems like something wrong to my laptop or premier settings! PLEASE, ONE REQUEST, while answering don't use too technical vocabulary, i am not good in it. Thank you guys!!!!!
