Does the HPG10 have SDI input?

The new HPG10 does NOT have an HD-SDI imput which means I can't turn my Varicam into a P2 camera!

Did you guys at Panasonic do this on purpose to prevent me being able to use my Varicam as a P2 camera? Yet, the device has firewire so teh HDX900 owners can use it, but those of use that paid more for our cameras than the HDX900 owners won't be able to use it. How is that fair?

or did I read the info on your site incorrectly?

Why do people always have to immediately scream and shout doom and gloom? Look at the memo title here: "Panasonic TRAGEDY, why Jan?" Sheesh. It's kind of ridiculous to go throwing around incendiary flamebait when it's all due to the reader misreading what was posted! In fact, it irritates me enough that I'm going to change the thread title to something rational instead of panicky.

The HPG20, which is the new unit, DOES have HD-SDI input, and it DOES let you turn your Varicam into a P2 camera. Not only that, but it supports AVC-Intra, which will utilize the full 10-bit 1280x720 output from your VariCam.

The older HPG10 didn't have HD-SDI input, and it didn't have 10-bit, and it didn't have AVC-Intra. The HPG20 has all of that.
