Does the DVX A/F have a distinctive sound?

Maybe I'm just paranoid and I've just not paid attention to it, but I think my DVX is making a bit of an excessive noise when it is auto focusing.

I was filming with a friend, who accidentally headbutted my camera (not hard)... After that the auto focus seemed to be acting a little screwey, not focusing on any objects in particular (although it was against a green screened door and white background so there wasn't a whole lot of distinctive area to focus on.

Just curious if everyones does it or if somethings up with mine.
