Does the D800 overheat like some Canons ?

I know it's still early but as I see there are many who already have the D800 and are shooting video with it. Before I invest in this camera I would like to know if it has heat issues like some of the Canons. I mean, If I want to use it for shooting video on a daily basis, having it powered on all day long for (20 min. to 40 minutes at at time) will that be an issue? Is there an aftermarket external power source solution available yet?

Thanks

Maybe. There is description in the manual of thermal sensor and shutdown to prevent damage. See page 69.

Nikon offers an OEM external power source -- it's a 2-piece kit of power brick plus battery-slot adapter. There are numerous references in the user manual to the EH-5b AC adapter and EP-5B power connector.

I have only shot 4 consecutive 20 minute segments so far.
The camera did not even get warm.
At that point my V1 gets hot enough to shut off in a warm environment.
Not sure if internal cooling is better or if the body mass helps on the D800.
