Does "The Cine City" Shop have a phone contact number?

I'm pro international competition (drives down prices), and I wish these guys really were a bargain. Regretfully, with a heavy heart, I'll tell you what happened to me, that just happens to be the exact same thing that happened to another guy.

Their stuff is sloppily made. You'll get stuff made of solid materials, that are assembled badly and may or may not work. Also, they hide their shipping charges until final check out -- and the shipping is expensive.

We bought their track and dolly system a year or so ago, and it worked for a few minutes out of the box (although little things were falling off it from the start). When it was set up on its first shoot it trashed the footage from the shoot -- some kind of micro-bump.

This is not a joke. We had three Naval Academy engineering students tear the thing apart, rebuild it, and study it for four hours. They concluded that when we stuck the track outside for the shoot (you know, something radical) it heated up enough to alter the shape of the ultra-cheap wheels, resulting in micro-bumps.

So then we spent nearly two hundred to replace the wheels with the best in the world.

The second time we used it it trashed the footage with micro-bumps.

This is not a joke. We had three Naval Academy engineering students tear the thing apart, rebuild it, and study it for four hours. They concluded that the joints in the track were flawed, and required an all new track mechanism. They also suggested the joints in the actual dolly may require new welding.

At this point we discovered that sending it back to India would cost over two hundred. So, the three hundred dollar track and dolly that came out closer to five hundred after shipping that cost an extra two hundred for new wheels would then require an extra two hundred to return to get a three hundred dollar refund -- if they refunded it.

I wish they were selling quality stuff -- because they'd have taken in about ten grand from me alone had their stuff actually worked -- and I'd love to be saving money on quality gear. The truth is -- they're not selling quality stuff.

Something deep inside of me desperately wants this post to make sense.

you should only use cine city if you're in a bind. I have some parts from them on my rig, but I'm trying to replace them slowly. Dropping the extra $ on redrock, zacuto, etc is the way to go
