Does the Canon Overheat?

I'm aware that, like the Nikon, the Canon also has a 5 min recording limitation. But the question is, does the liveview shut itself down after a while? Or you can shoot unlimited 5 min takes one after another, until the battery dies on you?

The limit is not 5 minutes - it is 4GB, which (depending on subject matter) gives you 12-15 minutes of recording.

And 4GB is the limit per continuous clip. That is not due to the camera but because of the 4GB limit of FAT32 file system.

Liveview only shuts down by itslef for 1 of 3 reasons that I am aware of:

1. Your menu options are set to automaticly shutdown after xx mintues of no use

2. Your battery dies

3. you twist off an EF lens while in liveview mode

LOL, nope. Still waiting for a better camera that's worth the investment. The Canon is certainly better than the Nikon, but for me, not 2K better... :/
