Does PRE REC Mode Use More Battery?

The mode that keeps the 3 second buffer so when you press record it actually starts from 3 seconds AGO (cool feature!), does it suck up more battery when enabled since it's constantly throwing the full 1080 HD signal + audio into the buffer?

Haven't tested for that. I doubt it is though, I mean, the whole signal is always being pushed out the SDI port or the HDMI whether you have a monitor attached or not, so it's always having to do all that processing; I doubt writing the frames to a buffer would have much impact on the battery life. Should be easy enough to test for, seeing as the battery gives you a to-the-minute countdown of how much life it has left; just try it with/without pre-rec. :thumbsup:
