Does it make sense to shoot the entire story portion of a music video Overcranked?

Because i have a lot of slo-mo sections for the story and i will be shooting 720 24p/n.

but at the same time i have a lot of regular speed clips, will it affect anything in the clip if i choose not to slow the clip down, and just use it at regular speed?

what i'm asking is

Regular 720 24p/n (in standard motion)= 720 24p/n over cranked to 60FPS (in standard motion)?

so will it matter if i have all of my footage over cranked to 60fps for the story, since there is no audio needed?

thanks guys!

I've done this many times. Sometimes when I'm not sure what I'll want played back at slow motion and normal speed I'll shoot 60/24. Works good for me, but may not be the best solution depending on the situation.

yes, if you put a 60fps clip into a 24fps timeline, you will have to speed it up for it to play "normal" rather than slow motion.

it's a question of what shutter speed you want to use. A shutter speed that doesn't smear fast movement when you're over cranked, may look stroby played back at normal speed.

Oh okay, thanks zak, monday, DM and david i think i will just shoot the sections that i want in slo-mo over cranked and leave the rest in 24fps.

Thanks guys!

i'd recommend you do some tests. i'm not an expert but I think you'll want to increase the shutter speed relative to the increased framerate.
