Does FS700R record internally when using external recorder?

I know it records internal AVCHD when also recording using an external HD recorder.
Can it also record internal AVCHD when outputting 4K to an external recorder such as O7Q+ or shogun inferno?
It would be useful to have a low bit rate compressed HD file to go along with the huge 4k file.
Does this require SDI or will hdmi work?
 
Yes you can record internally while recording 4K externally. In fact, you must have an SD card inserted and be recording internally if you want to use start-triggering from the camera.

You have to use SDI in order to record 4K. HDMI only outputs HD on the FS700.

As far as using the internal files as proxies, you'll need to do a batch re-naming so the filenames are the same, or else you'll be re-linking your media clip by clip later on.
