Does Avid Express support 24p?

Hi there.

I'm working with an older version on Avid Express (ver. 3.5) and I'm wondering if it supports 24p.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of shooting a project on 24p assuming it would on Premier Pro 1.5

It doesn't

I own a copy of Avid express, so if you say it will work I'll re-install it and work on the project. If you say it doesn't, what version must I have to properly edit a 24p project?

Native 24p came in later versions (I believe 4.5 and later for ADVANCED pulldown, and 5.1 for NORMAL). If tape based, you can just edit in a 30i project since the tape is NTSC and would just include the pulldown fields.

Avid 3.5? How old is that thing? Is it one of the old ones that was still a stand-alone unit?

Anyway, Michael is right. You don't really need to edit in 24p with either unless you're planing to transfer to film or you're doing heavy effects work where the split fields will get in your way.
