The data rates for the various quality stages seem to state effects on video, but isn't audio also encoded within these rates? If one were to simply mute the audio inputs on the HMC150, would it visibly improve the codec?
Additionally, is there anyone who uses the 'flat' 1st scene file? As in, no in-camera modifications, just the raw untampered image?
Delving more deeply in AVC I am now trying to figure out how I can maximize my camera, and if the audio is encoded alongside the video is a lossy AVC container, it seems like the audio not existing would leave more space for the video codec.
I'm sure I'm wrong about this so please fill me in. I'm a student in your classroom on this one.
