Does anyone use and reccomend the BlackMagic Intensity Pro

I'm looking to capture via HDMI to an intensity pro in a mac pro 8 core > encode to prores on the fly.

Has anyone had good experiences with this? Whats the quality like..?

With an HVX? It doesn't have HDMI out. Unless you mean component. But then why would you want to do that when the camera already shoots to a 100 mbits 4:2:2 codec?

Thanks, just found that thread in A1 section. Sorry I was being naughty posting here (most popular section), I wanted to use the black magic with a Sony Z7 HDV etc. My access to a HVX has dried up

I have a friend with one.. and I we've used it to caputure from my SD9 camera and transcode to DVCPRO HD live. It's a great value for the money and easy to use and has a ton of input and output options.
