Does anyone know whats this movie is called?

I must have watched this when i was 5, 6, 7 or 8.... (10 years ago) does anyone know what it is?

I have very very vague memories:

1. It is in a jungle/bush setting.
2. There might have been guns, bad guys and good guys? (war setting?).
3. A group of people were running from something or going somewhere (not king kong) they were mostly men and there might have been a female and/or a child or 2.
4. One by one the "group" of people would loose members from traps?animal attack?enemy fire?natural disasters?
5. Only a few people made it in the end....
6. At one stage they may have crossed a bridge/watterfall thing?
7. One point i remeber is when a (larger?) man sinks in quicksand and they try to save him but cant.... he might have saved one of the children and got stuck him self?...
8. They were more survilian like, but there may have been military type members in the group.?
9. They might have been running from a volcano but i dought it, i would remeber that......

main clue: The person that sinks in quicksand - how many movies could have this...?

Thanks heaps if anyone knows what it is, i would really like to see this again as i enjoyed watching it many years ago.
 
I would say predator.... But I dont know about the quicksand issue. If its quicksand it sounds more like krull..

Was it a fantasy setting or modern day warfare?
 
The quicksand scene rings bells with "Lawrence of Arabia"

I don´t know, it doesn´t look very original... Maybe a Chuck Norris Film? one of those Delta Forces or Missing in action??
 
No, the movie. Peter Coyote. Keith Carradine. Brion James. A Louisiana National Guard unit gets lost in the Bayou and manage to piss off some Cajuns enough for them to be hunted.

The drink mixes well with Ginger Ale or Coke, but it’s way too sweet for my tastes these days.

its not predator, its not fantsy, and i don't think its war setting, its old, in colour, no mel gibson, definitly not jaws or citizen kane, not southern comfort, no way chuck norris,

im looking into the devil at 4 o clock.........
