Does anyone know if uncompressed quicktime would clip the SLog.

Just wondering if the Blackmagic would be a 422 SLog option. But would the skeleton of quicktime, while even uncompressed clip the SLog? Also with the SD 240 coming, would the Avid codec clip it like the ProRes did? Not an editor...

I shot one quick clip to the Blackmagic S-Log last week at Abel F3 training. Andy deliberately set up the scene with model and light on wall chart to simulate a window or something high range. Exposed model's face at about 30 IRE. So levels quite low on scope. Brought uncompressed into FCP 7 and no indication whatsoever of clipping. But this needs to be tested further. My guess is you would not see the clipping uncompressed that you would from ProRes. I can't speak for DNxHD. Can't test this any further until I get a loaner of S-Log from Sony for eval.
