Just curious to see if anyone has or knows where about online I could find some different scene file settings for the Original varicam cameras to mess around with?
Does anyone have Scene File Settings for the Original Varicam?

Hey Mike,
Here are my settings from when I had an "H" model Varicam. Hope you can read the scibbles! These settings are my own and had great color (imho).

Second, Bassman2003, i see in the settings you shared you have Video Rec Gamma and not Film Rec? Were you using these settings for non narrative work or did you personally just enjoy the look of Video Rec? I was told by a few cinematographers to stay away from Video Rec all together if I want to work with as much latitude as possible.

I used the cameras for live events, so I did not have a problem using the Video-REC side. But, I seem to remember that the noise went up on the film-REC side. These camera had pleasing images but the noise was an issue compared to today's cameras.
As I always tell people, try all of the settings out yourself, find your look then discard what others say as you will have your own settings. Let us know how it turns out.

It really is amazing how well the old varicam's hold up and im not even using HD lenses.. i have 2 SD B4s (one that im actually trying to sell now) and i'm very pleased with the image I am getting. I've always personally felt more confident and safer behind the bigger cameras than the smaller, newer tech even though those new little things do that their advantages and in some situations are easier to experiment with. Happy I made the investment in the varicam last year, i actually am enjoying it over the Red One MX I had this time last year. Thanks again for all your help guys!
