Hey everyone. I have the Panasonic DVX100B with the optional shotgun mic mount. I was wondering if anyone has the original optional mic Panasonic offered for sale? I am looking for one in like new condition or close to. Please comment below if you have one or know where I can get one for around $100. Thanks :)

sorry i read the question wrong :P I want the original because it's in my price range and i hear good things about it. do you have any suggestions that would by around $150? thanks :)

and i also want the original mic because i use a fisheye and i cant have a long shotgun mic sticking out because then it gets in the shot.

Check out the Rode NTG-1 or Audio-Technica AT875, very good audio quality, affordable, and short like the panny mic.

i got the audio techna AT897 shotgun, i also film skating, but am still saving for my fisheye
but to be honest its rare you will get a shotgun mic in ur shot if you put it a little far back on the mount and take off the windscreen, but you obviously want the windscreen, so as long as its not a huge one your good
**and the only problem i have with mine is when is when i want to film at night, i put on an over head light on the dvx and you can see a shadow in the bottom right corner and with a fisheye it will obviously be worse - so it also depends how you shoot (if that makes sense)
