Section about the unconventional kindergarten in the squatter community, Christiania, in Copenhagen, from our documentary, Christiania: Our Heart is in Your Hands

Shot with DVX100a, 24PA, anamorphic lens, Sennheiser ME66 shotgun on boom with Rycote Medium Softie and Sennheiser blimp (which was probably overkill)

Edited on FCP5, blacks crushed and mids and whites boosted just a bit, no other color correction.

Exported with Quicktime Conversion, 427 x 240, highest quality

The reds look okay in this compression, but really break up and look like crap when full size, at least on HD monitors. They look okay when projected. [Edit: I take it back, I just wathed it again and the reds still look like crap - just smaller and therefor not as noticeable)

The interview was a challenge to edit (and fun, for that). The subject stammers and pauses quite a bit and while there is still a fair amount of that in the edited version, whatever flow there is was achieved by heavy editing - thank god for cover footage.

It wasn't until very recently that we got the last bit of dialogue at the end translated, and we were very happy to find out that what is said plays very nicely with some overall themes of the full documentary. The kindergarten teacher is very sharp (for all his stammering) and I suspect that he knew excactly what he was doing.

Comments appreciated!
