Doa Audio Inputs

I've seen a few of these same problems here but no solutions. All audio inputs are dead. Including the on camera mic. I can turn the on camera mic volume controls up to max, tap on the mic and get a faint click as I tap - but nothing at mid-volume. I tried a re-set - nothing. The camera will play back good audio from a previously recorded tape. And will still record video. I just can't get it to record any audio.?
Its going to the shop tomorrow and I'll post the outcome.

do you guys have the switches on the front of the cam by the lens set to mic?

those switches don't affect the internal mic.

My channel 1 XLR input on my 100A is dead. I can't figure out what in the heck is wrong with it.
