Do you SMS a lot? What are the fees (if any) for sending an SMS on your cellphone plan? Do you have unlimited SMSes? So what's the 411 on an average calling plan for sending an SMS in the USA. ASAP. LOL. WBS.

PK ----- Must pay for an SMS here. :(

We have two main providers here in New Zealand. "Vodafone" and "Telecom". With Vodafone, it's 20 cents each text you send (in NZD). This is kind of expensive, though Vodafone is aimed more at callers.

I'm on Telecom which gives me 500 messages per month for $10 and most of the time I use them all.

Thanks guys. Do they use the term SMS in the states? I never had a cellphone when I lived there.

So basically, some way or another, people must pay for text messaging (except for the guy who works for Cingular LOL :) ), whether you pay monthly or per SMS?

Hey what happened to mikko's dots?

Anyway i sms about 100? a month? My plan costs SGD 20 bucks but i get free incoming calls and 100 free outgoing minutes too including quite alot of free smses...not sure the correct number but its more than i use

we have cingular that we all share, (mom, dad, sister, brother, and me) 100 ducks a month and we get like 3000 anytimes, free nights and weekends, rollover minutes, and like 1000 sms a month. its great. i checked last night and we had like 15000 roll over minutes.

i have unlimited SMS on my brothers plan, his phone bill is at like 200 bucks a month since he got unlimited everything for the 4 phones we have. which aint bad at all for 4 phones. cheaper to add phones to his plan than to get a new service agreement.

I send about 50-100 SMS Texts a day.

ya, i constantly get comments from people around me telling me how fast i type on this thing. I dont have a qwerty pad either, just the simple # pad on my junky phone. holding out for the iPhone for over a year now. This is my 3rd phone in 2 years due to the buttons breaking on me from texting too much. but ya, im pretty fast, dont need to look at the screen either. :P

It costs me to send AND receive. People kept texting me and it automatically charged me, so I had to drive down to the Verizon store and make sure they disabled SMS from my acct...

Tell me you'll take this little vid on the festival circuit before the DVD release..!

I have a plan that gives me 200 per month, for like 5 bucks... I always go over... each one over is 10 cents.
