Especially in light of the XL-2 introduction, I'm interested in see what % of your footage is shot in any 16:9 mode on the DVX100--including anamorphic adapter, squeeze mode, and letterboxed. if you're shooting 4:3 and cropping in post--consider it as shooting 16:9.

But that only accounts for maybe 5% of my camera's use. 95% is for corporates, industrials, commercials and television shows. Those are all 100% 4:3.[/quote]
I was going to say this. My documentary stuff and art stuff is now all 16:9. My professional stuff is all 4:3 for NTSC and 16:9 for DVD or HD deployment.
Yeah, breaking it down is also helpful--maybe I can summarize the sub-results if we get enough, but I'm interested in the absolute percentage of time your camera spends in a 16:9 mode.
i shoot 4:3, then crop to 1.85 in post. gives me more options in post. i find the built in 16:9 to be poor quality, and the built-in letterbox to be limiting. waiting for an anamorphic adapter with a 72mm thread and detachable sunshade so i can use it with my matte box and also not have to worry about scratching the glass... stupid permanent sunshade... what the fork was panasonic thinking?! those bastards! ;D
Wow, DVXUsers seem heavily skewed towards 16:9. I would have thought that more folks would be doing a mix. I wonder how it breaks out between personal projects and a strong desire to emulate film, or client preferences?
