Hi Guys,

I would like to see your shots on a beach and or sea and discuss with you which filters, settings you used.

Reason: I will travel to a beach and shoot on the beach and on a yacht.

It would be great to see your movie / tests or what ever and discuss with you about it .

Thank you!

wow nice doc! Did you use a pol filter or a nd filter? If yes which and if you could go back to the time what would you use and why? I mean the scenes during the day :)

We shot this last summer, and I had just gotten my 5D and my 1st 3 lenses, though I didn't yet own any filters at all. We are getting ready to film the 2nd attempt next month and my gear package has grown, this time I do have a polarizer and will def be using it. I bought stepdown or step up rings to be able to use it on most of the lenses that I own now, at least the ones I'd use during daytime. So yea, last time no filters at all, this time, polas and maybe a VariND I have as well.

The pola I'd use it to minimize haze and deepen colors during daytime, it works wonders on blue skies and ocean reflections of course. The VariND I'd use it to not be slave to the 'hardstepping' that occurs when I change fstop on the 5D; if I just spin the ND filter I'll get darker or lighter shots just through my motion without having to swith iris on the 5D. Also the ND will be handy to give me more open exposure for shallower depth of field during daytime.

Oh and the VariND I have is the SinghRay and the pola is the 82mm pola from B&W

I was the 2nd camera for this doc, and if I'm not mistaken I don't believe the DP used any filters on his 5D either.
