Do you ever get accused of ruining a movie because….

Someday I'll be able to hang out late night with my friends again and watch bad movies, right? Right?

Well, it hasn't quite worked out that way for me. But then again, it'll be at least another 12 years before my youngest leaves the nest. I'll let you know then. Wait, I'll be retiring just about the time she graduates college...

Hey, good to see another user from Fairfield County.

Life changes, people change....somehow I don't think I'll be available this weekend to watch The Exterminator and Repo Man till 3 in the morning at my friend's house.

But like Sad Max mentioned, at least several years down the road, I'll be able to watch some great films with my son. (If we're still watching movies at the time, and not having the images & sounds zapped electronically into our brains)

He'll be getting the brain-zap and you'll be shaking your fist and brandishing your cane at him.

When I was your age we didn't have movies beamed into our brains! We watched them on a screen! And we were grateful! And it was cold! And the theater was uphill! Both ways! In the snow!

...and then there was the wolves...

I walked out of Emmerichs Godzilla after 30 minutes.

My friends all thought it was phantastic - that´s day day I knew I am a filmmaker ;-)

I didn't walk out of Godzilla; I just blanked the entire thing from my memory when it was over.

Can't actually recall ever having walked out on a movie. Although I can think of a couple that I wanted to walk out of, and probably should have.

II just blanked the entire thing from my memory when it was over..

I have this handy little device, what do you use?

film bashing is like a plague or a zombie infection. It is very contagious. I think i caught it at tech after school. Since then i infected my girl friend and my brother and a some friends. i thought it was really cool one day when i got to watch how one of the people i had infected went ahead and infected someone else. Now when we watching movies you can just see all our eyes scanning the room looking for any unsuspecting victim who may be enjoying the film, then we just can't contain ourselves we have to bring them over to the dark side.

My "philosophy" when it comes to watching a film is it should be silent, seen in one sitting (no bathroom breaks or anything), etc.

In theory, with respect to great movies, I agree with you. But to put this "philosophy" in action is much easier said than done. My girlfriend gets up all the time to make popcorn, pee, get drinks for us, etc. etc. etc. She tries to negate the annoyance of it by saying "don't pause for me, I'll be right back." Oh, what a joy that would be. "So, why did he kill the other guy? Wait, so that guy is not really the main guy but his clone? No? He is a twin? He is a twin clone? ohhhhhhhh..." kill me.

During a movie, my girlfriend is like a coked up ferret.
