Sorry for my harsh words here, I know a lot of people DON'T like me for it but hey, honesty sucks.
Instead of trying to market a movie to coffee shops for 10 people to see or trying to push a movie on someone that no one cares about, make something good, focus on the content and it will sell. Marketing should be the VERY LAST THING ON A PRODUCERS list. Think about it.
Make a good movie, don't worry about marketing.
Most indies ideas of good and what good is is pretty far apart, it's not good because you made it!
