Do not want! - Lucas messes with the trilogy again.

In the past I've been one that was able to stomach some of the "questionable" changes that Lucas has made to the Star Wars trilogy. The big ones like Greedo shooting first were never able to fade away, but there was still enough to love about the original trilogy to keep me watching them over the years. As it is now though, as one of the seemingly few fans out there for Return of the Jedi, I am officially done with Star Wars. The NOOOOO!!!! is just horrible. That is the final straw.

The big ones like Greedo shooting first were never able to fade away...

Apparently this has been changed again, the edit is a lot tighter. In fact, it's so tight, you can't even tell who shot first, so they might as well have changed it all the way back to the way it was--

Of course the logical conclusion to all this is that eventually Lucas re-jiggers everything to make it the fulfillment of his utterly incoherent and incomprehensible original story notes (Luke Starkiller, Han Solo is a lizard, etc) and thus erase every last trace of the movie that actually hit screens in '77.

Lucas isn't getting any more of my money.
I only bought the Ep IV, V, VI trilogy and from what I can read, it's the 2004 version...and from what I've found, I don't even want to watch these movies again:

Blinking Ewoks..D

Proof that he doesn't have talent, he just retouch it from times to times and still makes money with that...THAT's a shame.
Lucas is like a bad artist who keeps painting on the same canvas over and over until it becomes such a muddled mess of s**t.
Couldn't agree more. My biggest complain is that he never try to improve in his work, he just did and re-did the same thing according to the available technology.

The tragic this about all this, the thing Lucas doesn't seem to get, is that the movies were just fine as they were. Everyone loved them because we believed in the characters, and cared for them. It didn't matter that the sword fights were a bit geriatric, or that there were no dragons in Mos Eisley, and it didn't even matter that Yoda was just a muppet. The special effects were never as important as the characters in the original trilogy; something he got the wrong way round with the prequels. And just to add insult to injury he is trying to repeat the same mistake to the originals.

All I can say is.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

What blows me away about Lucas is that for years, the fans and critics alike have been busting his balls and questioning his poor choices in regards to not only changing the prequels but the **** that was the last three.

Yet, he still continues too dick around .

Reminds me of Romero; the original living dead trilogy is good stuff; but he has made a career off that alone.

I wonder if at a certain point Lucas doesn't do it as much to tweak off the people he knows it tweaks off, as make more $$$. These are *my* movies, skippy, and if you don't like what I'm doing with them, go make your own.

re: Romero - don't forget about Knight Riders. I can't think of any other film that manages to so transcend itself.

Barry, tom wong and I agree, if u can find a 35mm print, we will help you telecine it, and master it to BLUray...

Lucas has gone completely over to the dark side. Any creative talent or judgment he had in his younger days, whatever wisdom he had in hiring Kirshner, Bracket, Kasdan, Marquand, has now vanished.

I'll make a donation to get the original trilogy from 35mm to BluRay as well. One request though, can we trim about 40 seconds of Ewoks out of Jedi? Not all of them, just a couple shots. That's the only thing that's hard to watch, about 40 seconds. If the answer is no, I'll take it the way it is. I mean was.
