Do I need to reformat?

I've got two 16 gb SDHC cards for a HMC150. One card shows up fine when I go to Log and Transfer and displays all the video. The other card only navigates through the card's folders (Private, AVCHD, AVCHDTN, CLIP, PLAYLIST, etc.), but when I try to select any folder I get an error message saying it contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure.

Could the card have been wiped and cleaned incorrectly before? How do you properly remove and clean files? Does it need to be reformatted? Thanks.

As mentioned often before...

Reformat the cards inside of your camera before use - especially if u used the cards before with something else

I re-format every time I re-use a card.

I usually reformat because it is much faster them if I have to use "delete all clips"
