Do GH1 PAL model only shoot 25p?

Hi,

I am confused a lil'bit about GH1.
Are there different models of PAL and NTSC?
Do PAL model shoot 24p?

And if you hack it you can switch between PAL and NTSC modes so you can also shoot 24p1080 and 60p720.

The latest hack lets you change in camera but changing the video output in the menu. It's superb!

Would that be in the stock GH1 only? (ie does the patch not affect this setting at all in PAL mode?)
You have a choice with PTool, either leave 1080/25p in 50i wrapper, or apply native 24p/25p patch and get 1080/25p straight out of the cam.

Ummm sorry, but the "clarification" still isn't clear for me.
I will describe: I have a PAL Lumix-Gh1 (maybe we shouldn't even be calling it that anymore!) I have ticked the PAL/Ntsc option in PTool.

Does switching the modus under the VIDEO OUTPUT menu option truly change the wrapper or probably more accurately to say, "recording-modus" from PAL (25i/p) to NTSC (30i/p)???? Hard to believe...

The "SH" mode would be 720p and "FHD" mode would be 50i using AVCHD: unless the 24p/25p patch had been applied, which would then result in FHD @ 25p?

Is the native 24p/25p patch with PTool now giving stable results?

For MJPEG the limit is simply 30p, irregardless?

Thanks.... (sorry if I am repeating information above, but it was still confusing, especially the switch PAL->NTSC)

The PAL/NTSC is stable, but you can't mix footage on a card. You have to format the card after you switch to either format.

MJPEG is always 30P, in PAL or NTSC. You can record it on both formats whether the card is formatted for PAL or NTSC.
