GH2 DMW-DCC8 socket ??

Hi what is the size of the dmw-dcc8 plug???
I went to an electronic shop with the adapter but he couldn't find the right plug.
I told me to cut the cable and put an universal cable.

So to everybody who use an external battery on the gh2...
How do you plug it ???

The plug is 1.7mm inner diameter (ID) and 4.75mm outer diameter (OD) like this one from Amazon. Sadly, it is out of stock, but I also found it here.

Personally, I went for the AC power adapter and AC battery solution. Just plug it in and go. I hate splicing wires and soldering. But that's just me.

The RadioShack Adaptaplug type "C" is good fit for the DMW-DCC8.
But a better solution is to buy a Sony power adapter for their portable DVD players rated at 9.5 V. The plug fits perfectly and voltage is appropriate as well.
